WBU-512: "Soshu Hakone Kosui, The lake at Hakone in Sagami Province, one of the 36 views of Mt. Fuji" by Hokusai Katsushika. Size: 61/2" x 9". $74.95 (S&H: $10.00). Delivery: 2-3 weeks.
Hakone was well-known as the strict checking station on the Tokaido and for steep mountain paths. Travelers took a rest here looking over the lake. The shrine in the middle distance seems to be the Hakone Gongen (Avatar), but this picture is rather ideological and less moving than others.

WBU-513: "Honjo Tatekawa, Tatekawa in Honjo, one of the 36 views of Mt. Fuji" by Hokusai Katsushika. Size: 61/2" x 9". $74.95 (S&H: $10.00). Delivery: 2-3 weeks.
The timber at Tatekawa in Edo.

WBU-514: "Bushu Tamagawa, The Tama river in the province of Musasahi, one of the 36 views of Mt. Fuji" by Hokusai Katsushika. Size: 61/2" x 9". $74.95 (S&H: $10.00). Delivery: 2-3 weeks.
The Tama River has been familiar to the people of Edo, now called Tokyo. Here, Hokusai is eager to do justice to the size of the river and the volume of the waters. The trailing haze is, no doubt, for the purpose of making the mountain distant.

WBU-515: "Toto Asakusa Honganji, Sensoji Temple at Asakusa in Edo, one of the 36 views of Mt. Fuji" by Hokusai Katsushika. Size: 61/2" x 9". $74.95 (S&H: $10.00). Delivery: 2-3 weeks.
The close view of the roof-top of the great temple at Asakusa, the scaf folding and a kite flying high in the sky give us feeling of great height. Men can be seen moving on a steep ridge-end, but as they are almost of the same color as the roof, one is surprised when one notices them. This is Hokusai's peculiar way of taking the viewers by surprise.

WBU-517: "Tokaido Hodogaya, Hodogaya on the Tokaido Highway, one of the 36 views of Mt. Fuji" by Hokusai. Size: 61/2" x 9". $74.95 (S&H: $10.00). Delivery: 2-3 weeks.
Hodogaya is the fourth of the fifty three stages on the Tokaido. At present, it belongs to the city of Yokohama. A row of pine-trees, travelers and Mt. Fuji show that this is a landscape on the Tokaido. Just like the scenery in a play pine-trees appear against Mt. Fuji. In a single picture four different poses of men are depicted. The first man puts out a foot, showing the sole of another foot and looks up, the second looks away, the third looks behind and the fourth looks ahead.
